Application Lead / Fullstack engineering
This interactive customer portal helps property owners and managers plan the renovation and decarbonisation of their building portfolios. They can update building details, set preferences for energy and decarbonisation measures, and explore their cost and carbon implications.
I built and continue to develop the application layer, including frontend, backend and integration with existing systems. My work also covers requirements clarification, architecture decisions, technical coordination, code reviews, testing, release delivery and application operations.

An interactive portal for analysing building portfolios and planning decarbonisation measures, tailored to individual business customers. I built the frontend and led backend development, with substantial hands-on implementation. My work spans requirements and architecture through testing, delivery and ongoing improvements.

I migrated an existing Java/Spring application set and React frontend to Azure Container Apps and set up their build and deployment workflows.
Docker and Compose, GitHub Actions, Nginx and application configuration brought development and delivery together, in coordination with the infrastructure setup.

From 2022
Application services that combine EnEffCo measurement data with building information to monitor data availability and support energy analysis. I planned, implemented and maintained these services as part of the wider energy-management application set, supporting system monitoring, data aggregation and the identification of efficiency measures.

Automated measurement-data exports, including data acquisition, structured output, delivery integration and tests. Later work adapted the service as authentication and external systems changed.

Bachelor’s thesis with subsequent development
A service-oriented application for identifying heating-system optimization opportunities. Requirements, reusable data acquisition, configurable analyses and a React interface formed the foundation for later application work.

Working-student contribution
Moviepilot is a film and TV recommendation community. I developed responsive pages and interactive features, including likes, follows and ratings, with React, Next.js and Redux. My work also included Ruby on Rails API and backend changes with RSpec tests, plus contributions to the Docker/Compose development setup on Linux and onboarding documentation.

A bilingual website for my freelance engineering work, with clear project stories, accessible interactions and tested contact handling. The case explains how content, design and implementation support visitors and keep the site maintainable.

A browser-based DJ application with two decks, a crossfader, three-band EQ, interactive waveforms, beat jumps and loops. Developed as a team project, it combines React interfaces with real-time browser audio.

A learning project that splits a music-library REST backend into services, with an API gateway, service discovery, centralized configuration and JWT authentication. It explores service boundaries and communication using Spring Cloud, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Academic team project
2019
A project-management application with Kanban boards, nested tasks and team collaboration. I built the entire Rails backend, including the REST API, authentication, database schema and migrations, and contributed to the React frontend. During my exchange semester, I also built its landing page in a search-engine course, working on responsive design, metadata and analytics integration.
